1st week in Flint

Wow it’s been a while since I wrote my last blog but there was so much to do that a had no time to do this. I promise betterment in the future! So what happened until now.

The first days in Flint we had to stay in Thompson Hall before we could move to our apartment in Campus Village. In this time we met many Germans and also some American and Jamaican students.

We also met a German Student called Hagen, who left Flint at Friday. He lived in a house near the campus, so we went almost every night to Hagen to do party and play Beer-Pong, which is a very funny game Hagen also showed us some nice places in Flint, for example the “Birch Run”, an outlet store, where you can buy clothes for cheap. In this time we also bought a car. It`s a Mercury Villager and a really nice ride.

On Monday we had our first lesson in ‘Written and Oral Communication’. It was quite short, our teacher Mrs. Campbell just introduced herself and gave us some homework for the next Monday.
The staff from the International Office - Heidi and Becky - gave us a tour through Kettering and some advices.
We also got a security introduction from the Campus Safety officer and a police officer from Flint.

After the short time living in Thompson Hall we were very happy that we could move to Campus Village, because this is the beginning of the real study life in Flint.
